’A pen transmits the voice of the soul.‘ Fennel Hudson
Donegal Pens are in at Nora Nora and we love their story! Hand crafted in Co. Donegal by brothers, Ronan and Conor, their business was set up in 2010 when the boys were just 13 and 10. Getting local sponsors and with a ton of hard work, the talented McGarvey brothers are making gorgeous hand turned pens, made of native Irish woods, including Maple, Cherry, Oak, Beech, Ash, Yew, Laburnum and Bog Oak.
The Bog Oak is a rare timber excavated from deep underground, usually a by -product of turf cutting, or when bog land is drained for agricultural use. BACK IN STOCK
A Donegal Pen is the perfect gift for any occasion including graduation, wedding, birthday, retirement, etc.etc.
Each Donegal Pen is made with a "Cross" refill and comes in a sturdy box.
"These pens are stunning - I’m so glad you added them to your offerings. I’m giving them to a few “hard-to-buy-for” people, but am keeping one of the bog oak pens for myself. Thanks for such speedy shipping. Falmouth, Maine -

New artistry from Hannah Arnup features the Celtic designs she is known for and the newest bowls are over sized and are gorgeous.
The Boar symbol appears as a crest on the helmets of the warriors, and Celtic coins feature the Boar as a universal symbol of strength and fertility – sometimes portrayed with triple horns and often associated with the Tree of Life. Boars appear throughout Celtic mythology as being magical.
The BOAR bowl may be used as a serving dish or graced up on a wall, they are truly unique and just beautiful. Looking for a unique gift for someone who appreciates Irish handcrafts? What a great idea for a "one of a kind" wedding gift!

Stunning, new artistry from Hannah Arnup features more of the Celtic designs she is known for. The newest bowls are over sized and are just striking in design. In Ireland, in ancient times, the dog symbol maintained a meaning of loyalty. A dog was considered good luck in a village and as such the symbol of the dog was commonly found in Celtic decor, clothing and artistry. Each one of Hannah's designs are one of a kind, nothing but unique and original from this very talented artist.
